GI探究「英語プレゼンテーションに初挑戦！」 GI research: “The First Challenge for English Presentation!”
日本語でのプレゼンテーションは既に8月25日に実施しましたが、今回の授業ではクラス全員が英語プレゼンテーションに初めて挑戦しました。今回のために英語に作り替えて作成したスライドには、それぞれのグループの工夫がしっかりと表れていました。
発表内容について意見交換に協力してくれた昨年度のアジア架け橋の留学生をオンラインで招待し、リアルタイムでプレゼンテーションを観てもらいました。生徒たちは、それぞれの国で抱えている問題について、自分たちにできることは何かを一生懸命考えました。
日本語では自信を持って発表できていたことも、英語では表現が難しかったり、伝えにくかったりすることを痛感していました。次の発表の場となる立命館アジア太平洋大学の留学生とともに活動するグローバルキャンパスまでは、まだ時間があります。今後の更なる成長に期待します。
GI students made the English presentation about Asia for the first time, even though they’ve already done the same presentation in Japanese on August.
Last year’s AFS students, who have cooperated with GI students to give some ideas and opinions about Asian countries in summer, also watched the presentation via Zoom. Unlike Japanese presentation, students felt difficulty of giving presentation in English as the expression was hard, but they tried their best.
Next stage is “Global Campus” coming this Autumn. We hope for their continued growth.
