2/16 The YUKATA making !

第4期アジア架け橋留学生が浴衣を作成しました。
色鮮やかな和柄の生地を選び、先生方にサポートをしていただきながら、約3週間かけてミシンで縫製しました。初めてミシンを使った留学生も、次第に慣れてきた様子で、着々と完成させていました。今年は小さな甚平も作り、「自国に戻った後、お姉さんの子どもに着せます」と笑顔がこぼれる様子もありました。
完成した浴衣に身をまとい、皆とても嬉しそうでした。この体験を通して日本文化をよりよく理解し、愛情を深め、手作りのお土産として母国へと持ちかえる予定です。
The 4th batch of ASIA KAKEHASHI students made “Yukata” .
They enjoyed selecting the beautiful patterns of Yukata, and tried to make it by using sewing machine with teacher’s support.
They made not only Yukata, but also small-sized“Jinbe” which is the Japanese traditional summer clothing for men. Student seemed very happy, one of the student even said that she will give it to her nephew after going back to her country.
Students were very excited to wear Yukata, and experience Japanese culture firsthand.
