留学生が日本の文化体験・交流を満喫！
第4期アジア架け橋留学生が本校での留学生活を開始し約1か月が経ちました。
留学生は、日本の伝統文化である三道「華道」「茶道」「書道」を体験したり、中学生と一緒に掘ったお芋で
マフィンを作り、日本の文化を直に体験しています。日本のわび・さびに触れるたびに、「きれい！」「すごい！」と、
感動の声があがりました。
また、今月21日（日）に鳥飼公民館で開催された鳥飼チルドレンアカデミーに参加し、地域の小学生と交流しました。
留学生は、母国語、英語、フランス語、日本語などで自己紹介を行った後、母国の食べ物や通貨など日本との違いを感じられるような
クイズを出題しました。参加した子どもたちは、クイズの正解が発表されるたびに興奮し盛り上がりました。留学生にとっても、
子どもたちと触れ合える良い機会となったようです。
日本への留学の理由として、「日本の文化を体験したい。自国のことを伝えたい。」という声をよく聞きます。
日本で多くのことを吸収し、そして伝える「架け橋」へとさらに成長することを願います。
It has been about a month since the 4th batch of Asia Kakehashi students have started their study abroad experience at our school.
The students are experiencing Japanese culture firsthand by learning the traditional Japanese arts of flower arrangement (Ikebana), tea ceremony (Sadou), and calligraphy (Shodou). They also experienced making muffins from potatoes they dug with the junior high school students.
The students participated in the Torikai Children’s Academy Event, held at the Torikai Community Center on Sunday, March 21, where they interacted with local elementary school students. They introduced themselves in their native languages, English, French, and Japanese, and then gave quizzes about the differences between their home countries and Japan, such as food and currency. The children who participated in the quiz became excited whenever the correct answers were announced. It seemed to be a good opportunity for the international students to interact with the children.
Their reasons for studying in Japan were: “I want to experience Japanese culture. I want to tell people about my country. I often hear people say, “I want to experience Japanese culture. We hope that they will learn a lot of things in Japan and grow to become a “bridge” between Japan and their respective native countries.
