味噌ソース作りをしました!/Miso Sauce Recipe Making!
「味噌で世界を健康に!」というコンセプトで世界に日本の味噌文化を広めるため、GIクラス1年生とアジア高校生架け橋プロジェクトの留学生で、味噌ソース作りを行いました。留学生の母国でよく使われるひよこ豆、ターメリック、ココナッツセサメ(黒ごま)ミルク、トマト等の食材と日本の味噌や調味料を合わせて、2種類のソースを作りました。
その後の試食会、みんなで手分けして作った生春巻きとナンに、そのソースをつけて食べてみました。本校生だけでなく、留学生も「美味しい!」という感想でした。きっと母国に帰って味噌文化を広めてくれることでしょう。
留学生の帰国も近づいてきますが、食文化の交流を通じてより一層、お互いの国の良さを感じることが出来たと思います。
The GI Class collaborated with the AFS Exchange Students to make a miso sauce on March 4, 2021. The concept behind the sauce was to spread the traditional Japanese seasoning around the world to make the world a healthier place. The students made the sauce by combining ingredients that are locally used in the exchange student’s countries. They made 2 different sauce by combining miso with chickpeas, turmeric, coconut sesame milk and tomatoes.
After making the sauce, they taste tested it with the naan and fresh spring rolls that they made. The student’s sauce was a massive hit to the exchange students. The exchange students really enjoyed the original sauce recipe that the GI students created. We are hoping for them to make the sauce in their home countries.
Although the exchange students are about to leave Japan soon, we are glad our students had this experience with them. Through sharing each other’s countries food, our students and the exchange students were able to experience and learn so many things from each other.
