中村学園女子中学校・中村学園女子高等学校

令和元年10月20日(日)、本校の姉妹校であるスルタンイブラヒム女子高等学校を訪問しました。ウェルカムセレモニーでは現地の生徒たちが伝統的な音楽とダンス等の出し物で歓迎してくれました。本校生徒は日本料理を現地の食材を用いてハラル料理でおもてなししました。
現地の生徒と一緒にスーパーへ食材を買い出しに行き、使いたい食材が無いなどのトラブルもありましたが、臨機応変に対応し、別の食材で無事作ることができました。食文化の違いを肌で感じ、現地の人の味の好みなど知ることができたことはとても貴重な体験となりました。
昼食後はマレーシアの伝統的なスポーツやゲームをして交流しました。
以上が姉妹校交流の一日目です。今日も長い一日でしたが、大変充実したものとなりました。生徒たちはマレーシアの文化の多様性を肌で感じながら、多くのことを学んでいます。

Today is the second day of our fieldwork. Everyone woke up early and there seemed to be no problem with any students. Everyone woke up on time and went for breakfast. Breakfast was buffet style and everyone enjoyed Malaysian styled cuisine.
After breakfast we prepared to go to our sister school SIGS. After arriving we were welcomed warmly by our sister school. There were welcome dances performed by the SIGS students. Then after speeches from the principal, student representatives and myself we set out for Aeon to buy ingredients for lunch.

Students prepared their lunch, Niku jaga and kimpura. Malaysian students seemed to prefer the spicy food. All in all everyone enjoyed Japanese cuisine and Malaysian cuisine.

After lunch students were taught various Malaysian games which they seemed to really enjoy.

It was a good day and everything went smoothly. Hopefully next few days will also go smoothly.
