中村学園女子中学校・中村学園女子高等学校

令和元年10月22日(火)、本日はマレーシアの地方の文化を体験する一日でした。4つのグループに分かれた生徒たちは、グループ毎にメラユ・ラヤ村にある家庭を訪れ、そこで一般的なマレーシアの暮らしを体験しました。最初は緊張していた生徒たちでしたが、ホストファミリーの方々はみな優しく、生徒たちの緊張はすぐにほぐれていきました。マレーシアの実際の家庭料理をいただき、また、民族衣装も着せていただき、生徒たちにとっては本物の海外の生活を知る大変貴重な機会となりました。

ホストファミリーに別れを告げた後は、コタ・イスカンダルを訪問しました。実際に法律が生まれる場所で、生徒たちはマレーシア政府の構造や歴史を学びました。

今日はマレーシアの実際の生活について学びました。日本とは全く異なった環境で、自分たちとの違いを多く発見する一方で、その中にお互いの共通点を見いだすことも多くありました。言葉や文化は違えど、同じ人間であることに変わりはないのだと再認識するような一日でした。

Today is the last day in Malaysia. Students all woke up timely and went for breakfast. They were really excited about the home visit. Some of them never experienced any other culture other than japan so they were very interested and looking forward to the day.
We set out for Raya Village which was located in the northern part of Johor. Students were surprised to see so many palm trees and also the difference in geographical landscape between Japan and Malaysia. Students learnt about the importance of palm trees as we went to Raya Village. They were surprised to find out that there chocolates were also made of palm oil.

After reaching Raya village we were welcomed by the host families and the students divided into 4 groups. They each went to different families and experienced homestay. Student were interested in the influence of Arab culture in Malaysia. After discussion and eating together with their host family they set out for the Parliament House which was designed by Arab architects.
Students were very happy and enjoyed their last day in malaysia.
