GI探究で「アジアについて知る」を実施しました 「Learning all about Asia」
GI探究では新しいタームに入りました。このタームでは「アジア」をクローズアップして探究を進めていきます。
本校では、毎年1年生の秋にグローバルキャンパスを行っています。この行事は、異文化理解力や多様性受容力とともに、リーダーシップ力の育成を主な目的とするもので、立命館アジア太平洋大学（APU）の留学生とともに英語で活動を行います。APUの留学生は、ほとんどがアジア圏からの留学生ということもあり、グローバルキャンパスでの本格的な交流・活動の前に、「アジア」に関する知識を深めることをこのタームでの目的としています。
令和2年7月27日、昨年度に本校で受け入れていたアジア架け橋プロジェクトの留学生とオンライン会議を行いました。
インドネシア、ブルネイ、スリランカ、ラオスなど様々な国と同時に繋がる体験はなかなかできるものではないため、生徒たちは少し緊張していたようです。しかし、事前準備を十分に行い臨んだことで、お互いの国の良いところや課題などについてしっかりと意見を交わすことができました。
短い時間でしたが、楽しく交流することができました。
GI class started to focus on learning about 「Asian countries」 in there GI research class.
Every Autumn, we hold an event called “Global Campus” for our first-grade high school students. At this event, students spend time with APU (Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University) students for a few days doing many different activities in English. Most of the APU students are originally from Asia, so students need to learn about Asian countries prior to the event. Therefore, the purpose of this reason was to deepen the students’ knowledge about Asia.
This week, GI students had an online meeting with the AFS exchange students from Indonesia, Brunei, Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia and Laos, who studied at our school last
Year. Our students seemed to be nervous at first, but they gradually enjoyed communicating with the AFS students by asking some questions that they prepared in advance. Even though it was a short time, they had a very meaningful time communicating with students from different countries.
