高校2年SGコースの海外フィールドワーク結団式を行いました / Getting Ready for Fieldwork at Malaysia and Singapore
On October 29, the SG class will leave for their Field Work in Singapore and Malaysia. Today, we held a departure ceremony. Principal Adachi gave an encouraging speech for the students, as follows:
Good afternoon, everyone. How are you today? Time flies and the
day after tomorrow you will leave for Singapore and Malaysia.I’m
sure you are so excited.
As you know, the world has become smaller and smaller over the
past few decades, and continues to do so every day as
transportation, communication, and information technologies
advance. Because of these rapid changes in the world, we need to
know, understand, and respect the diversity of cultures for the peace
and stability of the entire world.
We should also have a better understandings of each other’s
histories, traditions, cultures, and religions. We know little about
Islam and the life and culture of Muslims. This is why we selected
SIGS as our sister school. Please be positive and active to learn
many things about Islam and Muslims.
I believe and always say that the first step of forming relationship
between two nations begin with two individuals. Each of you is a
diplomat. They recognize Japan by you. So please be polite
throughout this trip. Enjoy your trip and have a good time.
We expect the students to think about Principal Adachi's message, and become excellent ambassadors for Nakamura and for Japan during their trip. This will be great chance for them to gain international experience and better understand new perspectives.
